I Tsuruoka, 3,5 kilometer fra Kamo Aquarium, ligger Kameya Hotel, som har en hage og gratis privat parkering. The rooms were spacious and clean. Very comfortable! The bathtub is what sold me on the room! Nice big tub with views over the ocean and hot spring water pumped directly into your bathtub! The included breakfasts were also very good, very large servings, I didn't need lunch the days I had the breakfasts. The on-site onsens were heavenly, the "help yourself" coffee station was great, and the shop had all the things I like from the hotel available to buy ( got caramel apple tea and the lovely skin sets to take home). Highly reccommend this hotel!

I Tendō, 30 kilometer fra Zao Hotsprings Skianlegg, ligger Ichiraku tendo spa & brewery, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en terrasse. Excellent Dinner and Breakfast. All inclusive drinks. Private Onsen/Hot spring was amazing. Staff were very accommodating and the Cherry blossom in full bloom along the nearby river was a huge bonus. Excellent artworks throughout the property

Takasagoya Ryokan ligger i Zao Onsen. Dette 3-stjerners ryokanet har en restaurant i tillegg til rom med klimaanlegg, gratis WiFi og felles bad. The rooms were very spacious and the food was exceptionally. It was a fantastic authentic experience.

Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. Most incredible onsen we’ve been. Everything was very nicely decorated, great dinner and breakfast in private rooms. Big room. Onsen was increasingly clean

Guests at Hayamakan can enjoy traditional multi-course meals and relax in the indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. I really liked it. The staff were very polite, the environment was relaxing and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious.

As you stepped into the Ryokan you could feel the history seeping from its walls, as it has been in Yuki's family for over 100 years. You get a sense of the fellow travellers who have passed through and experienced great hospitality like we did, from Toki_san and Yuki. They gave us great recommendations of the local area too. Dinner is a definite must when you stay here as you eat, delicious food from the mountains and local area.

Guesthouse Mintaro Hut ligger bare 18 kilometer fra Zao Hotsprings Skianlegg, i Yamagata. Dette 1-stjernes gjestgiveriet har rom med klimaanlegg, felles bad og gratis WiFi. This the best guest house I have ever been to!! The owner and the staff are great! They make you feel at home! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. What's more, they prepare a delicious dinner every night! Which creates a familiar atmosphere with all the guests and the staff! This stay was the highlight of my trip. Plus, the house is super comfy, toilets and bedrooms are sparkling clean. And They provide everything for you to prepare your breakfast! Location is perfect too, next to the Kajo park where you the Sakura blooming and its splendor!
