An absolutely incredible stay! From the moment we arrived, our entire stay at Sre Lodge was amazing. We really don’t think the pictures do it justice. They stay is an experience in itself. The bungalows are such a unique idea, over looking the rice fields on your own private humongous balcony. Everyone that worked there did a fabulous job. They really went above and beyond! I needed to make a call to England and they quickly facilitated it. The free Cambodian style afternoon tea was a great extra.

It's a very nicely designed building located in a lush garden a little bit outside of town. The big rooms are kept in French colonial style with beautiful furniture built by the owner himself. The family running the place is very charming and helpful. A good choice of local meals is served in an outstandingly designed restaurant constructed with a lot of old local wood. The cats also care a lot about the guests :-)

Set within 4.9 km of Kampot Pagoda and 3.8 km of Kampot Train Station, Coconut Lodge offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kampot. Eugene the owner was wonderful, he arranged a great half day tuk tuk trip to see the local area (hidden cave was terrific) and our connecting transport to Ha Tien. A genuinely lovely bloke. The room was light and spacious , good aircon and 15 min walk to the riverfront where there are lots of bars and restaurants.

Mettā Guesthouse Kampot is situated in Kampot, 4.5 km from Kampot Pagoda, 4.2 km from Kampot Train Station, and 11 km from Teuk Chhou Rapids. For us, the location was great: a little remote, but only 5 minutes with tuk tuk to the centre. You can also just walk :). Amazing breakfast options with reasonable prices (we tried 5 different options). If you don't like the sounds from outside (roosters, crickets, dogs barking...), earplugs are a must.

Orchid 101, a property with a garden, is set in Kampot, 3.6 km from Kampot Train Station, 11 km from Teuk Chhou Rapids, as well as 12 km from Phnom Chisor. Very comfortable room. Host super super helpful. Breakfast available at a fair price and good too. I would absolutely come back.

Beyond the hotel, I discovered the incredibly friendly community of Krong Kampot 💙. For anyone visiting Kampot, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. ✨👍😊

German restaurant was great for breakfast. About 1.5 km walk into the centre of town, but easy to get remorque or tuk-tuk via Passapp app for a very reasonable price. Host has very reasonable & good motorcycle scooters for hire too.

Set in Kampot, 6.2 km from Kampot Pagoda, Kampot Sweet Boutique offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. We are so happy we picked this place! Only good things to report :) Very comfortable, with lovely (& large) rooms located on 2 floors around a nice swimming pool. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the centre/river (by scooter or tuktuk). But as it is out of the hustle of the town, you can hear birds and the wind in the palm trees from your window. A great place to settle and relax. We stayed 2 weeks altogether across various reservations and I do recommend spending more than a couple of nights, as there is plenty to do around (mountain, sea, river, sports, dining, pepper plantation, lake, markets, etc) and still have time to relax by the pool. We did not have time to get bored. The bed is good (neither too hard nor to soft), as are pillows. Room service is very thorough. Breakfast is good, with a variation between a-la-carte and buffet days. It can get a bit repetitive over a long stay like ours and is not especially vegetarian or vegan friendly if you don’t ask for it. But they will cater for you upon request and are looking into improving their vegetarian offer. The swimming pool is large and very clean, and long enough for laps. Best of all is the staff, including receptionist Som Moniroth, who are always doing their best to help with any situation and resolve everyday issues promptly. Overall, Hillocks is great value for money and we will definitely come back if in Kampot again.
