The bungalows are in the water at high tide, but everything in the hut itself is dry. In the morning, you are woken up by crashing waves. The shower, toilet etc. were clean. You can sit at the bar and watch the sea and the sunset. A place to relax.

The Barang village has a handfull of little guesthouse/eating places including the Cornerstone which manages the Chateaux and has excellent food, good coffee and friendly people. The place is quite new and the room was fine with a good size bathroom, aircon/fan etc. Outside there are other places to sit and relax. There are music and other events at the village though not the weekend I visited. The road is now very good and was about 2.5hr door to door from Phnom Penh in a car.

Super friendly owners, clean accommodation and as a big bonus cute kitties that came to cuddle! There's also a volleyball field that sees some action in the late afternoon! Local food and drinks a few km down the road towards the beach. Own transport needed.

They prepared excellent food and (medicinal) coffee, which is a great plus. The location and village is great, you can both relax and have fun. Friendly and funny cats come visit the property.
