Leaving our bags after check out. The staff was very friendly and the location was very close to all the tourist attractions we wanted to visit, eg Royal Palace, Phnom Penh Night Market. The check out time was also great as we had a late flight. The wifi was also fast and available throughout the property.

We were most impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The room was wonderful with a very comfortable bed. It was quiet and we slept well. The breakfast was outstanding.

The Scenic Hotel Phnom Penh is a brand-new property located right next to the Phnom Penh Night Market, which means cheap and convenient food options are available around the clock. It’s also about a 10-minute walk from the riverside, which is lively and full of activity in the evenings. One thing to note, however, is that local vendors sell—and slaughter—fish on the sidewalk right next to the hotel in the evening, so guests will have to walk past this area to enter the property. As a new hotel, the rooms feature a clean, modern aesthetic, and everything was spotless during my stay—from the bed and linens to the towels and bathroom. I stayed on the 7th floor and had a pleasant view of Phnom Penh. Given the price, I was genuinely surprised by the quality of the room; it could easily pass for a 4- or even 5-star hotel. I also appreciated the water dispenser in the hotel lobby, which helps reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles.
