Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, DODAND Studio & Sunset Riverside Guesthouse is located in Don Det. What a great place to stay on the magical island of Don Det. The room was great and the bed was comfy. Room also comes with air conditioning if selected. You have a great private balcony that you can watch the sunset from daily. You can rent all of your travel plans and all excursions right from the hotel for a low price. The location is great due to being on the opposite side of the island from the port. You can still get over to all the party bars in just a 5 min walk but you don't have to hear the action from your room. My wife got sick while in Don Det and the staff did everything to make our stay as good as possible including letting us add an extra night last minute for a very fair rate. Top notch place and very relaxing

Very clean and quiet with well-equipped rooms, comfortable bed and great views from our balcony overlooking the Mekong. The food at the restaurant was good and the hosts were very helpful. We spent 3 nights in this unique hotel and it was a truly wonderful experience. We were enchanted by the minimalist architecture with traditional decorations and a beautiful view of the Mekong River. Spacious and modern apartments. Every morning before breakfast, we cooled off in the pool and relaxed in the cozy hotel restaurant with delicious food. Free bicycles are available to guests to reach the village and the temple. The hotel also offers tuktuk, boat transfers and bus tickets to other parts of the country. Really good place to take some rest during long trip.

From the moment of checking in, I was greeted warmly by the lady who manages the property. She had all the travel information I could possibly want at her fingertips. "Motorbike loop around Bolaven Plateau? No problem, here's a map and the places where you'd want to stay. Want to rent a motorbike? Sure, here are your options. Heading to Si Phan Don next? Got it, you'd want this minivan at this time." Best of all, she speaks English fluently (not a common occurrence in Laos at all). The rest of the hostel was excellent as well. Beds were extremely clean. Sockets to charge your phone right next to the bed. The shared bathrooms were cleaned frequently throughout the day. Bedrooms were quiet and kept that way. The air-conditioning was powerfully cold. All of this for US$8 (LAK 175k) a night! Awesome.

Situated in Pakse, 3.4 km from International bus station KM 2 and 4.1 km from Champasak Stadium, Xuanmai Garden Resort offers a garden and air conditioning. Loved the location. The host does the meals and they are great but the deserts are extra. The room was clean daily and the towels were charged daily. You could book tours and rides to the airport or tickets for buses into other cities. Loved it.
