This room truly enhanced my experience on the islands and allowed me to maximize my enjoyment of the surroundings and views. The balcony overlooking the islands and facing the sunset, along with the huge window in the room, brought nature and the stunning scenery right inside, allowing me to enjoy the environment even when indoors. The room itself was spacious, minimalist, and beautiful. Everything was clean, the water was hot, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Beyond all the comfort of the facilities themselves, I want to praise the hostel owner who was kind and pleasant, available on WhatsApp for any questions or issues, and happy to help with recommendations for trips in the area. You can also rent bicycles through her for exploring the islands - definitely a recommended experience!

I have travelled a lot in SE Asia and had a lot of issues in other hotels with curtains that don't block light from outside at all, making it impossible to sleep past sunrise, which is exhausting. Not here - the room was dark with the curtains closed, comfortable and I slept very well. - Xavier is extremely helpful and was able to assist me with everything from day trips (Wat Phou) to airport transfer, arranging a driver, even when I had to go Western Union. - Breakfast isn't included but I had coffee every day - the price is reasonable, coffee is good quality and it's very pleasant to sit in front of the hotel in the morning as it's peaceful with lots of plants. - Highly recommend this place.

The River Resort is 8 km from the World Heritage site of Wat Phou. It offers stylish air-conditioned rooms with a private balcony and free Wi-Fi. Where do I start? This property is perfect in every way. Beautiful spacious room overlooking The Mekong, the staff are wonderful and the food delicious. Be sure to wake for the sunrise, it was exceptional. We were sad to leave today, if you find yourself in this part of Laos I highly recommend The River Resort ❤️
