Situated within 100 metres of Arugam Bay Beach and 3.2 km of Muhudu Maha Viharaya, Tropicana Home Stay features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Arugam Bay. Nice room with comfortable bed. Quiet location. Very good instant water heater for the shower. They cooked a special chicken biryani for lunch which was delicious. We also had their very good Sri Lankan breakfast. Good value overall.

With lake views, Gal Oya Lake Club is situated in Paraganakele and has a restaurant, a concierge service, bar, garden, sun terrace and year-round outdoor pool. The hotel is beautiful! Is not big so you feel the vip service from everyone. The massages were great, pool amazing, the luxury tent was super nice and comfortable. The boat safari they organized in the Gal Oya was fantastic! Our favorite so far. The mashed potato with prawns was our favorite dish

Situated in Arugam Bay, a few steps from Whisky Point, Whisky Point Resort features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. We loved the place!!! This is what I call a resort! Anna and Nico will make you feel like a part of the family! Besides hospitality, service is excellent, food is really good, drinks and cozynes will make you stay more in this paradise! I couldn't stay more, but it is definitely a place where I will come back! See you soon guys, thank you for having us!

Mohamed is the best host ever! Super kind and helpful with everything. He arranged us a roundtrip tuk tuk to a beautiful local beach at a fair price. I hope to be back one day, I'd highly recommend!

Wonderful property and host! Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Charitha Rest provides an open-air bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Ampara. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The Charitta is ideal if you want to visit the Gal Oya Water Safari. They take care of booking the safari and arranging transportation for you. A family runs the hotel. They are lovely and helped us with everything. The prices are very reasonable. They also drove us to Barracola in their car for a very good price. It's difficult to get out of Gal Oya without your own transportation. The accommodation is basic but very clean, and the breakfast is very good.

Situated 300 metres from Arugam Bay Beach, Starfish Cabbana offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden. My cabana was modern and clean, with a nice small terrace which I enjoyed a lot, together with the garden. Delicious breakfast every morning and great help from the staff. I'd definitely book again here if I come back to ArugamBay.
