Offering a garden and quiet street view, The Woodnest is located in Arugam Bay, 200 metres from Arugam Bay Beach and 3.8 km from Muhudu Maha Viharaya. Absolutely loved our stay at The Woodnest! Everything about this place was perfect. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the beach, yet peaceful and quiet. The rooms are beautifully designed, clean, and comfortable with lovely garden views. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety. We especially loved the relaxing outdoor spaces and the calm atmosphere all around. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Arugam Bay!

Situated within 100 metres of Arugam Bay Beach and 3.2 km of Muhudu Maha Viharaya, Tropicana Home Stay features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Arugam Bay. Location was great, we had everything nearby. Welcoming hosts, who made sure we have everything, also happily gave extra info/ideas we needed. Room was spacious and the bed was comfyyy They also let us keep our bags there while we stayed in the town

With lake views, Gal Oya Lake Club is situated in Paraganakele and has a restaurant, a concierge service, bar, garden, sun terrace and year-round outdoor pool. Absolutely brilliant! The service from everyone from the time we arrived was exceptional, so friendly and welcoming, and assisted and advised with anything. The facilities are great, nice clean swimming pools, the grounds are very nice and the rooms were great-large, immaculate and good facilities, and great to see the sustainability such as refillable stainless steel drink bottles instead of plastic. The restaurant was very good, and reasonably priced. The activities arranged were good, the lake safari seeing elephants and many birds. And using the kayaks on the lake from the jetty right out front was great (we didn’t try the fishing, but that was another option). And of course just the peace and quiet location to relax in luxury. The children’s favourite was Ronnie, the very friendly dog.

The owners here are fabulous hosts, and very willing to help with great local knowledge. Younger foreign couple, with fluent english. Rooms are very clean with good working fan, and mosquito net for sleeping. AC option if needed. Excellent location, and right in the center to walk everywhere. Two minutes to the beach. Excellent value - Highly recommended!!!

Beachfront Location: Whisky Point Resort in Arugam Bay offers a private beach area and direct beachfront access. Guests enjoy sea views and a serene garden setting. You will truly relax here. The property is pretty much spotless and located just meters from the Indian Ocean, which means you can hear the waves ALL NIGHT. The staff is super attentive and thoughtful, from the caretakers to the bartenders to the management. I was also pleasantly surprised to find real Neapolitan pizza, a wide selection of Italian wines, and caffè corretto with Sambuca (!) – just when I started missing European flavors a bit ;) And if that wasn’t enough, the yoga classes first thing in the morning put you in a blissful mood. Would definitely come back <3

It is with a heavy heart that our stay at Lucky Bay ends. Thank you to Mohamed and his family for all the attention they gave us, they spoiled us every day with delicious little treats. Thank you Mohamed for your kindness and hospitality. We had a wonderful stay. We affirm that it was one of our most beautiful encounters of our trip. The hotel is a small haven of peace very well maintained, its fabulous garden puts us in a relaxing atmosphere. 10m from the beach and right next to the best breakfast in Arugam Bay, the location is ideal. Wonderful property and host! Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Set in Arugam Bay, 300 metres from Pasarichenai Beach, Stay Golden offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. Very nice, place, about 10 minutes walk from the center of Arugam Bay, but they provide free bicycles, so it’s relatively easy to get there. The bungalows are spacious and comfortable, breakfast is filling enough and they provide free yoga sessions every day and also surfing lessons (cost is similar to that in the city).

Charitha Rest provides an open-air bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Ampara. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. Lovely place. Best nights sleep in Sri Lanka. Very nice staff and lovely food.
