This is our first trip to Sri Lanka, but it won't be our last, and we will definitely be back.

It is excellently located near a wonderful temple . The owner made us so welcome and was so helpful and full of good advice , he helped us sort out great itineraries. The breakfast is great , fresh and tasty . We messaged and asked if we could have dinner the day we arrived . We had baked fish and prawns , it was delicious the best food we’ve eaten in Sri Lanka .

Allen's place is a little oasis in the middle of Jaffna. We loved our stay! The room and bed are very comfortable and the breakfast made fresh every morning by Allen himself. There is a warm shower and the garden great to read a book. I'll come back longer next time!

Special mention to Dillakshi, Prasanna, Prinsen, Dineshan, Saranya who helped us with what dishes to try, what places to see etc. The Manager Rushan was equally helpful and offered to help us book another stay on our return to Jaffna from Trincomalee. And the food was delicious! Thank you Thinnai for a thoroughly enjoyable stay, we are certainly coming back! :-)

The Chapters, a property with a garden, is situated in Jaffna, 5.3 km from Jaffna Railway Station, 6 km from Jaffna Public Library, as well as 6.5 km from Jaffna Fort. The house and bathrooms were spotless and exceptionally clean. The host and manager were both very helpful and welcoming. We had the chance to enjoy an authentic Jaffna meal prepared by their cook, and it was absolutely delicious! The crab curry and mutton curry were iconic, I’ve started loving the unique spice and flavor of Jaffna-style cooking. The environment was peaceful and relaxing; waking up every morning to the sound of birds chirping and taking evening walks around the beautiful garden were truly mesmerizing experiences. Our kids especially enjoyed playing with the village-style pump set every day — such a lovely, authentic touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back soon! - Naveed Ashraf-
