The food was absolutely outstanding and we enjoyed trying local Jaffna specialties. We also loved having a pool to cool off in at the end of a hot day exploring. There was good information provided which outlined the history of Jaffna and of the villa.

Allens home stay, a property with a terrace, is set in Jaffna, 600 metres from Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, 1.5 km from Jaffna Railway Station, as well as 2.6 km from Jaffna Public Library. We traveled around Sri Lanka and of all the places we stayed at, we enjoyed Allen's the most. All worked as described, Allen was ready to help with anything, breakfasts were tasteful and fruit-ful, even wifi worked well (very uncommon during the majority of our other stays). Plus the place is clean and has a cool and laid-back vibe and Allen is a kind host. Fully recommended! Thank you, Allen!

Special mention to Dillakshi, Prasanna, Prinsen, Dineshan, Saranya who helped us with what dishes to try, what places to see etc. The Manager Rushan was equally helpful and offered to help us book another stay on our return to Jaffna from Trincomalee. It's a beautiful place, the host is really lovely and caring. They even arrange pick up if needed. We got a welcome drink, drinking water was provided, and the host gave us many recommendations for where to get food and what to do in the area.

The Chapters, a property with a garden, is situated in Jaffna, 5.3 km from Jaffna Railway Station, 6 km from Jaffna Public Library, as well as 6.5 km from Jaffna Fort. The house and bathrooms were spotless and exceptionally clean. The host and manager were both very helpful and welcoming. We had the chance to enjoy an authentic Jaffna meal prepared by their cook, and it was absolutely delicious! The crab curry and mutton curry were iconic, I’ve started loving the unique spice and flavor of Jaffna-style cooking. The environment was peaceful and relaxing; waking up every morning to the sound of birds chirping and taking evening walks around the beautiful garden were truly mesmerizing experiences. Our kids especially enjoyed playing with the village-style pump set every day — such a lovely, authentic touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back soon! - Naveed Ashraf-
