We booked the enoch guesthouse because we wanted to spend a night in the private Mannar on our trip to the north of the island. It was the best choice as the room was huge as was the bathroom and it was very clean and had air conditioning and a ceiling fan. I didn't mean to write anything about the amazing family that runs the accommodation, others have written about it before me, but I must say that we had the invaluable help of Lallee in the problem we faced with our rented tuk tuk and finally the problem was solved and we continued the trip to the end without any other problems.. There is a small parking area where you can leave your vehicle.Please note that the accommodation is located a little outside the center but in a quiet neighborhood.

Everything was very clean and smelled amazing. It was nice to be greeted by the staff upon my arrival and showed to a clean room immediately. The bed was very comfortable. There was a large wardrobe to put all of my things and a full-length mirror. The bathroom was also spotless. The shared living room was nice with comfy couches to sit and talk with other travelers. The kitchen was fully stocked. I absolutely recommend this place and will stay any time I'm back in the area. Also the host was very responsive and helpful before my arrival and during my stay.

Noleen on the front desk organised an excellent guide for us to visit the sights of Mannar. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The restaurant was a treat with a variety of meals. There are feral donkeys around the town and the hotel location. We loved everything about the hotel.

His restaurant recommendation gave us the best meal yet in Sri Lanka which is down near the Dutch Fort in Mannar. We had the chicken fried rice, chilli beef and ghee roti. Ice cream to finish! Loved it! They also filter their own water and provide it free to stay clear of single use plastic.

We had a medical emergency while in town so we had to extend our stay, and the owner was unbelievably helpful and kind, even came to the hospital to check on my husband's state.

We stayed at the donkey clinic for a couple nights and got to know the impact of this place. We highly recommend you come stay at the clinic or at least come for a proper tour and get to know the donkeys and the people behind the project.
