It was nice to be greeted by the staff upon my arrival and showed to a clean room immediately. The bed was very comfortable. There was a large wardrobe to put all of my things and a full-length mirror. The bathroom was also spotless. The shared living room was nice with comfy couches to sit and talk with other travelers. The kitchen was fully stocked. I absolutely recommend this place and will stay any time I'm back in the area. Also the host was very responsive and helpful before my arrival and during my stay.

The welcome by the staff was amazing, we felt at home right away. Noleen on the front desk organised an excellent guide for us to visit the sights of Mannar. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The restaurant was a treat with a variety of meals. There are feral donkeys around the town and the hotel location. We loved everything about the hotel.

The owner was so incredibly helpful, he could not do enough to make our stay informative and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend The Sanctum.

We had a medical emergency while in town so we had to extend our stay, and the owner was unbelievably helpful and kind, even came to the hospital to check on my husband's state.

Ran by a wonderful family: this organization is working on mending the relationship between donkey and human. We stayed at the donkey clinic for a couple nights and got to know the impact of this place. We highly recommend you come stay at the clinic or at least come for a proper tour and get to know the donkeys and the people behind the project.
