Providing garden views, River Cottage in Wellawaya provides accommodation, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Very professionnal staff. It seems there was a problem ,ith our booking so we got upgraded to a family room (instead of the budget triple room we booked). The room was so perfect : huge and high ceiling, nice beds, beautiful wooden furnitures. Big window so you can enjoy the garden with a lot of light (early morning also !! Cause the curtain are nice but not lifht proof!). The bathroom is perfectly clean, big, hot water. The food is good but expensive, if you are used to the normal srilanka price, ask before dinner to check if it's ok for you.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. This is an absolutely lovely property. It is tastefully designed, every detail is considered, the rooms are clean and Big, the bathroom is finished with all needed and clean and modern (felt quite good to bé again in a level of comfort and cleaness closer to our life back home). The food is good, I particularly Liked the cinnamon tea they served as you arrive. We did the spice trail.on the property very informative. Really a great stay.

Offering a garden and garden view, Lake Front Yala Safari is located in Kataragama, 18 km from Tissa Wewa and 18 km from Situlpawwa. The family owning the room were very sweet and created a very welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Set in Kataragama in the Monaragala District region, with Kataragama Temple nearby, Wadula Safari - Yala offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Wadula Safari was amazing. We were greeted by the friendliest staff, taken for a walk around the jungle (where we saw monkeys, all kinds of birds, and lizards), and then served a delicious dinner. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable with amenities like coffee, tea, powerful AC and a modern bathroom. They also arranged a wonderful safari with a guide, and helped us speak with and find our taxi driver.

Personal amabilisim i molt atent. A menys de 30 kms de Ella. Ideal per fer nit i descansar abans d’anar a Ella on els hotels son molt mes cars. L’esmorzar es a la carta, amb menú local i menú internacional però son flexibles.

Featuring lake views, Sam's Stay Buduruwagala provides accommodation with terrace, around 39 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. We really enjoyed our time at Sam's Stay. The place is new and one of the nicest we have been to in Srilanka. Sam welcomed us with fresh mango juice from his garden. The next day he showed us all the fruit trees around his place, rice fields and natural pool where you can swim. We had an amazing breakfast at his restaurant. On our wish he even prepared us wood apple juice which was delicious. For a local experience of Srilanka we highly recommend Sam's Stay.

Our experience at VR Nature Cottage Cabana was truly exceptional. It is a very special and unique place, surrounded by rice fields and next to a lake, in a beautiful and peaceful setting far away from cars and crowds. The silence and connection with nature make it feel like a hidden retreat. The cabana is run by an adorable family, warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, who made our stay exquisite and truly memorable. Their care and hospitality made all the difference. We honestly believe this is a must-stay for anyone planning to spend time in this area.

Situated in Galgamuwa in the Monaragala District region, Redstone Cottage Gal Oya has a terrace and mountain views. This was honestly one of the most welcoming and thoughtful places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, Sydney and his team looked after us so well. The chef asked what we fancied and was very accommodating. He cooked the most amazing curry, lunch and honey hoppers for breakfast (which we were introduced to and absolutely loved). They even gave us a packed lunch for our elephant boat safari, which they organised, along with a great driver. There were little extra touches that made such a different, like beers in the fridge when we arrived (and they went to get more when we ran out), a cooking class with a local family, a really interesting forest walk with an indigenous guide and when we asked if we could do some laundry they sorted it for us with no trouble at all. The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet spot with amazing Mountain View’s, a perfect place to switch off. Would highly recommend supporting this amazing project. Such a great experience 😊😊
