We like the people, especially the manager Inbaraj, who is a great and kind man. He showed us the cinnamon plantations and explained how everything is used, he was so kind. We liked the dinner, the best chicken curry we tried so far in Sri Lanka, also there was a desert, we liked a lot. The room was clean, sanitized, everything was great, the view from our room was great. Mr. Inbaraj also treat us with the best papaya juice, coffee and the plantation harvests. We are so grateful and happy that we choose this place for our stay in Yala. The place is also near the Yala park, which was great as well.

Offering a garden and garden view, Lake Front Yala Safari is located in Kataragama, 18 km from Tissa Wewa and 18 km from Situlpawwa. Amazing place to stay and also amazing safari! We did the full day safari and it was a great experience! We saw so many amazing animals. We cannot recommend this place enough. The family is so kind and the service is excellent. The room is also very clean and comfortable with high quality Aircon.

From the moment I arrived, Dulaj, Chamith and Anu were incredibly hospitable and made me feel very welcome as a solo guest. They arranged a great safari, which was one of the highlights of my trip: well organised, smooth, and truly memorable. The food was excellent, freshly prepared and generous, and the conditions of the lodge are superb: very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained.

We had a lovely stay at Kataragama Homestay! The room is very comfortable with everything needed (even a small fridge). The front porch is really relaxing, with not much noise besides nature - super peaceful and beautiful. The house itself is nicely tucked away in the jungle, but not too far away from the city center with the bikes that the family borrowed us - cycling there is a really nice experience. The family who runs this business is so welcoming and friendly - thanks again gor the great stay! ❤️ If you are planning to do a safari it's perfectly situated and they can arrange the safari for you. Definetely visit this place if you want to come to Kataragama, you won't regret it!

Located in Kataragama, 15 km from Tissa Wewa and 23 km from Situlpawwa, Yala Thaman offers a garden and air conditioning. Yala Thaman hosts like no other that we have seen so far. In a nice quiet area, you can relax in air conditioned rooms or move over to the dining area and enjoy the climate of Kataragama. In close proximity to Kataragama city we were easily able to access the city and other local attractions through the taxi service that is offered with your room fee. The beautiful family that owns the hotel were always happy to drop everything to help out with anything that you might need. Would recommend 10/10
