Providing garden views, River Cottage in Wellawaya provides accommodation, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. We enjoyed our stay and wished we had more time to spend in Wellawaya and at River Cottage. I recommend a refreshing bath in the river in the morning.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. We’re really glad we chose the Mailagama Cinnamon Residence for our stay in Kataragama. The staff treated us with great respect and warm hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed the hoppers dinner with its absolutely delicious curries. We must also mention that the curd and honey were the best we’ve ever had.

Offering a garden and garden view, Lake Front Yala Safari is located in Kataragama, 18 km from Tissa Wewa and 18 km from Situlpawwa. The hosts are super friendly. They even prepared a cake for my friends birthday. The entire family is so open and welcoming and the room is nice and clean. The cherry on top is that if you are lucky enough you can wake up with an elephant in the garden, stealing the coconut from the tree. They organised the safari for us and it was an amazing experience, with a safe and experienced driver. He knows where to go to have good chance to spot a leopard, and we did! They even offered us a night ride on the elephant road, and it was very very good! We saw a big tusker elephant. Highly recommended!

From the moment I arrived, Dulaj, Chamith and Anu were incredibly hospitable and made me feel very welcome as a solo guest. They arranged a great safari, which was one of the highlights of my trip: well organised, smooth, and truly memorable. The food was excellent, freshly prepared and generous, and the conditions of the lodge are superb: very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained.

With pool views, Tranquil Wild is located in Tanamalwila and has a restaurant, room service, snack bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. being so close to nature, having freedom of just see animals, jump in the pool at all time, enjoy their breakfast and amazing food made from the best possible host Amal was just amazing. definitely a must if you want to spend some quietness after/before the south

In a nice quiet area, you can relax in air conditioned rooms or move over to the dining area and enjoy the climate of Kataragama. In close proximity to Kataragama city we were easily able to access the city and other local attractions through the taxi service that is offered with your room fee. The beautiful family that owns the hotel were always happy to drop everything to help out with anything that you might need. Would recommend 10/10

Located close to the Buduruwagala rock carvings and Diyaluma waterfall. Shalika and his family were extremely warm and welcoming. The food was amazing. All fresh ingredients grown by themselves. If you're looking for a real Sri Lankan family experience this place is perfect. Also Shalika drove us to our next destination, the beautiful mountain town of Ella.
