This is a beautiful, unique hotel. Every part of the premises are well designed, lovely spaces. We enjoyed the lake view from the balconies. It was magical to see a glowing sunset on the lake while we had our supper on the restaurant balcony. The five stars are well deserved.

More importantly, the owner and his family were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. He gave us advice on our travel plans, told us about the town and its history, offered us coffee in the morning, held our bags for a few hours after checkout, and even found a restaurant for us when we arrived late in the evening. You need to ring the bell at the gate of the hotel to be let in or out, but they always arrived within moments. Overall we felt extremely comfortable and cared-for, and would gladly return.

Well located and easy to get to the pyramids. Rooms are simple and good. San Juan of Teotihuacan itself is well worth walking around to get a bit of the sounds and colors of a small village; no grand attractions (apart from the pyramids) and also no special places to eat (food at the hotel itself is very good) but a pleasure to just wander around.
