We emailed the hotel, and it worked out that one of the owners could help drive us. For an affordable price, we then spent the next day and a half with him. First from KL to Cameron highlands, learning all about Malaysian culture, stopping for wild durian on an epic drive through the jungle. Then a private local tour through the tea plantations, lunch at his favourite Indian restaurant in town, an amazing jungle trek to a peak overlooking Cameron Highlands, a visit to the Buddhist temple and refreshments overlooking the golf course. He recommended sunset on the rooftop of the hotel and dinner in town and both were amazing. We were taken in by a local and it was so special. The next day he offered to take us on Penang and we jumped at the offer. On the way we stopped in Ipoh at another Buddhist temple built into caves and a mountain. Incredible. And local delicacies in the cultural old town.

The building was right next to a highland mall with restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance, making daily life very convenient; the unit was spacious and clean with a balcony overlooking the mountains, ideal for family trips.

Staying on a high floor this time offers a view of the city and the sea. The room is very spacious, with modern design and complete facilities. The bed is comfortable, making it great for a relaxing vacation. There are also restaurants and vending machines downstairs, which is very convenient.

SG Resort Residences Kuantan provides a sauna and free private parking, and is within 500 metres of Batu Hitam Beach and 13 km of Kuantan 188 Tower. The room is pretty spacious and the area around is really quiet; it feels a lot less cramped than living in the city.
