Surrounded by granite outcrops and with stunning views and roaming wildlife, Desert Quiver Camp offers modern self-catering accommodation, located just 5 km away from the entrance gate to Sossusvlei. Very big, clean rooms. Rooms are at a good distance from each other which feels very private. We ordered the braai package (a lot of choice and you can choose what you want) and enjoyed making our own BBQ. Swimming pool is also really nice. Location is very close to the gate.

Desert Hills Lodge is situated 35.9 km from the Sossusvlei and Sesriem section of the Namib Naukluft National Park. Offering a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant.... Best location in the Sesriem region by far, overlooking the desert hills from a slight elevation with spectacular sunsets and fantastic display of stars at night. Lovely setting for meals and outdoor pool. Great food every time of day. Lots of fun activities in the area.

The excursions were fantastic, and a special shout-out to our guide Wakie Wakie, who was absolutely phenomenal—knowledgeable, engaging, and a joy to spend time with. His tours made the experience even more memorable. Highly, highly recommend Desert Homestead Lodge if you’re traveling to Sossusvlei. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, authenticity, and unforgettable desert magic.

Located on the C19, We Kebi Safari Lodge offers accommodation 88 km west of Maltahohe in the Hardap Region. This property offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Amazing, tranquil place to stay. Obviously quite a drive from anywhere else but it’s worth it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast are like meals at home (nothing fancy but straight to the heart).
