Our bungalow was right on the water where my wife and I watched the sunset from our bed. The area is lush and tropical with several species of plants and fruit trees. Great bird and duck watching. There's a bar here and a kitchen for preparing food. There is power and wifi. All our needs were met and we highly recommend. Perfect place for nature enthusiasts.

The food in the restaurant was really good and the prices low. Such a wonderful place and we give our highest recommendation.

Great hosts, don't hesitate to tell them about any doubts you might have about anything on the island. Very nice room, perfectly clean. Great garden with a beautiful view (and we could spot howler monkeys). Very good breakfast. Don't hesitate to rent a scooter (if you already drove any: the path to the hotel can be tricky if you are inexperienced) or an ATV to go around the island. We recommend the sunset at "Comedor Christin", the kayak tour at Playa mangos (more a restaurant than a beach) and a quiet and chill time at Ojo de Agua, all easily accessible from the guesthouse.

Our room was spotless, the WiFi is excellent, and the communal kitchen is a huge bonus. The hostess is really friendly and will help with anything you need, from logistics to rentals or tours. The breakfast she makes each day is excellent and rotates between four main meals. You even get a welcome drink on arrival! The location is great, surrounded by greenery but still close to restaurants, markets, and the Finca Magdalena approach to Maderas volcano. We stayed five nights and we’d happily stay again!

La Urraca Loca Hostel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Balgue. Featuring barbecue facilities, the property is located within 12 km of Maderas Volcano. I fell in love with Ometepe and this ended up being the perfect spot. Wonderful people, wonder place and a great price. A special mention to Luis at the hostel. I forgot to collect my passport after handing it as security on my quad bike and he done some digging for me to find someone who could bring it safely to Granada for me. Excellent service throughout. I just know i will be back. I have a friend visiting soon and i will no doubt recommend he stays at this location.

With lake views, Finca Mystica is situated in Ometepe and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Finca mystica is amazing! The place is wonderful and the staff is so nice. I felt really welcomed and I'll definitely go back again 100 times more. Everything is really clean, lots of nature, many fruit trees 💗 Plus: I got sick from the journey and they worried about me, they even got me liquid oral rehydration salts (suero), so thankful for that.
