Set in the Skjæringa area of Longyearbyen, Mary-Ann's Polarrigg is built with old rigs. Central Longyearbyen is between 6-8 minutes walk away and the airport bus stops right in front of the hotel. A warm hotel with good restaurant. Located a bit a side of town centre, but you can still walk 10 minutes to the city center. Which is good because it is away from the light pollution, so you can see the aurora clearer.

I have been to Longyearbyen before, but stayed in a hotel. This time I was traveling with my mom, and wanted some place a little bigger. This apartment popped up and it turned out to be the best place we stayed during our entire arctic trip! The host was incredibly communicative, and helped us out with a few hiccups that happened during our stay. The apartment is incredibly spacious and clean, and the beds are amazingly comfortable! It was so cozy, and there was a helpful little pamphlet explaining everything that you may need to know about the space. It's easy to get to the center of town, about a 3-5 min walk to the coop, Stationen, etc. Again, the host was AMAZING, and I cannot recommend this place enough! We even got lucky enough to see the northern lights off the balcony on a few nights during our stay! Love, love, LOVED this place and this host!

About 10 minutes to the town center by foot as well.

O Radisson Blu Polar Hotel é o hotel de serviço completo mais a norte do mundo, localizado em Longyearbyen. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The only comment is that I stayed in a separate building to the reception, and there was no lift, so I had to carry my suitcases up the stairs, no big deal though. Other than that, the room was clean, spacious. The location was very good, close to everything in a walking distance.
