It was built in 1880 and it retains its traditional character. It is built of thick stone and decorated in traditional furniture. It has modern conveniences such as air conditioning and fully functioning plumbing but still retains an old feel. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. However, if you are looking for luxury like a Hilton please don’t come here. It is for someone who wants a taste of the past. You eat a traditional breakfast in the morning across from the old fort and really get to know the employees. You get to meet the owner and feel like you are staying as a guest at his house.

It's 15 minutes walk to the beach, all the restaurants, cafés and bars are walking distance, and one can rent a toktok or hop on the electrical cars. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook yourself, the cutlery is beautiful.
