Calm and friendly hostel with very informative owners who gave the little extra to make our stay as good as possible. Beautiful view and hummingbirds just outside the window. Strongly recommended.

Set in Chachapoyas in the Amazonas region, Chachapoyas Backpackers Hostal Boutique offers accommodation with access to a public bath. One of the best hotels I stayed at in my 3 months in Peru. For the price, the room was FABULOUS. It was huge with a balcony overlooking the city. The bed was comfy and the shower had hot water and good water pressure. The internet worked well. Breakfast was good. I got to check in early.

We had a wonderful stay in Chachapoyas! The house was clean, spacious, and had such a welcoming vibe. Nancy makes the best food - the focaccia and oat porridge were definite highlights for us! She helped us organize tours and even a private guide, which made everything so easy. On top of that, she was incredibly kind and drove us to the bus terminal when we left. The music and atmosphere in the reception/kitchen were always great, and the sweet dogs on the property made it feel even more like home. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Casa de Mario. The location is perfect, right on the hiking trail to Gocta waterfall, with a beautiful view of the falls from the property. The village is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature. Mario is an exceptional host — he knows everything about the area and made us feel completely at home. He even made us a delicious homemade pizza with a purple corn crust — everything organic and full of flavor. We saw hummingbirds in the garden and many other beautiful birds around the property. It’s a great spot for bird lovers and nature lovers in general. If you’re coming to Cocachimba, don’t hesitate — Casa de Mario is the perfect place to stay!
