The place is spotless, spacious, they offer great breakfast and dinner, Claudia is an amazing chef 👩‍🍳. You can also enjoy sauna and yoga, but we didnt manage this time. Rómulo and Helga were fantastic hosts: so warm, welcoming, and going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We ended up extending our stay here because we didn’t want to leave! Our room was awesome, nicely decorated, good natural light, with hot water bottles delivered each night to make our beds even cozier. Breakfast was avocado, toast and jam, and 2 eggs sunny side up. There was tea and hot water available all the times in the kitchen. Helga loves plants and the garden area right outside the kitchen was very beautiful and with lots of birds! My favorite thing about this place, besides the hosts, is that you can walk out the door and be in a lovely natural park-like setting where you can walk to many nearby archeological sites. Rómulo showed us around Temple of the Moon and gave us a very spirited tour, which was a highlight. It’s a really fun walk into town on the Inca Trail and down a pedestrian stairway lined with restaurants— even though it’s “far” from the city center, it’s actually a very nice walk to get into town, along peaceful paths with no cars! On the day we left, Rómulo drove us into town, along with 2 groups of other guests, and helped us exchange money, get an oil change, find the right entrance to a museum, etc. He took care of all of us and helped us along our way. Incredible hosting!

On our final day, we joined the Maras, Moray & Alpaca Walk tour, which included visiting the fascinating salt mines, alpaca walk, tasting corn beer (chicha), and learning about traditional weaving techniques at a textile workshop. The day ended with a smooth and comfortable transfer to Cusco, arranged entirely by Sky Dome Peru.

Nice, quiet, and clean place, conveniently located near Wanchaq, San Pedro, and the city center. There were plenty of blankets and the shower was consistently hot, so we never felt cold. Estella is very kind and supportive—she can also help arrange tours at a fair price.

The breakfast was delicious with a big variety. The location is fairly central to town and exceptional views.

Located in Santa Teresa, Cusco region, Hospedaje Quillabamba is situated 4.7 km from Huayna Picchu. With a private bathroom, units at the guest house also provide guests with free WiFi. Mario is a wonderful host! He made everything very easy for us and helped us do everything we wanted in the region. He kindly drove us to the hot springs and to the Hidroelectrica station, and even waited to pick us up when we returned from Machu Picchu. He also recommended an excellent restaurant just down the road and dropped us off there after our long hike from Machu Picchu, which we really appreciated. The breakfast was lovely and very filling, and the room was great value for money. We felt very well taken care of and would absolutely recommend staying with Mario.
