The modern cottages are on two floors with 2 separately controllable air conditioners and a light-flooded bathroom with huge but secluded windows to the tropical garden. Standing height in the bathroom 9 meters (!) which ensures that moist air is safely extracted. The excellent and brand new mattresses correspond to French standards and are ultra-comfortable and invite you to linger. The location and view especially from Cottage Camia is breathtaking overlooking the waterstrait to Puerto Galera. A terrace with two loungers tempt you to rest in the garden and admire the huge mango tree and the 3 coconut palms. The lawn is well-kept and the fallen fruit is removed daily. My son spontaneously took part in a diving course at the resort and completed his 18m PADI Open Water Diver license within 5 days, which enables him to explore the world's most beautiful diving areas as an autonomous diver. Instructor Gaurav at the resort is truly a good educator and an exemplary person who tries to pass on his passion and enthusiasm to others. The food in the resort corresponds to 4 star level, has an international character and special requests are also catered for. The wine is good and affordable. Overall, the stay was super relaxing and corresponded exactly to our expectations. Casalay's team is incredibly friendly and experienced in tourism. We will come back for sure. I also recommend this resort to Central Europeans, especially the German-speaking countries, because their expectations are not only met, but exceeded. Set within a cove in Puerto Galera, 1.6 km from Sabang Beach, Edgewater Dive & Spa Resort features an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant with views of the Mangrove bay, and a spa facility. We stayed four nights at Edgewater. We enjoyed it a lot, it's a small hotel on a very beautiful bay. First, the rooms are nice and clean, with a very comfy bed and a nice shower. Then, you can go diving on different times of the day, for example at 9 or 10 or also in the afternoon. They are very flexible and the dive masters are very nice, christian the boat driver is the best, very funny guys. The dive sites are very close by. The best thing of the hotel is the owner and his staff. They treat you like friends. We liked everything and would recommend to anyone who wants to visit sabang. Thanks for everything

We have been traveling around Southeast Asia for about five months now, visiting 6 or7 countries, and we’ve realized that it’s not the nature, food, or history that stays with you the most, but it’s the people. Our first week in the Philippines, while staying in Manila, wasn’t the best experience. But everything changed once we arrived on Mindoro Island, and especially when we stayed at Macrina’s place. Macrina and Ligh are two of the kindest, most welcoming people we’ve met on our journey. Every morning we had a different breakfast, and it genuinely made us excited to wake up. Almost every night they invited us to join their “family dinner,” completely free, and the vibe felt exactly like that -warm, homely, and full of care. The food was the best we’ve had in the Philippines, and the way they treated us made us feel not just like guests, but like long-time friends. We’re already looking forward to coming back and visiting Macrina and Ligh again. If you want a place with real heart, this is it.

Ver picked us up from Calapan port in his car because we couldn't get a boat to Balatero port and it was such a relief after a long 3 hour boat ride from Batangas to Calapan. Ver is probably the friendliest po I've ever met. His vibe, the way he talks exudes friendliness. I liked the location as well. It's just well situated in the middle of the hill, no tourists which is good but keep in mind that you'll need earplugs since there's a lot of noise from dogs barking, roosters going crazy at 4am in the morning, etc. Had an excellent stay at Ver's place. I highly recommend his place!

We had such a lovely experience during our stay! The staff were warm, friendly, and very accommodating from start to finish. Our room was spacious at 60 sqm, spotless, and offered a stunning view of the beach—definitely a highlight for us. While enjoying the beach, one staff member kindly approached us and offered snorkeling goggles, and their lifeguard stayed nearby to watch over us due to the big waves. We truly appreciated the extra care and attention to our safety.

The staff were very friendly and our room was super comfortable. The food and drink at their cafe is delicious and it’s a great place to sit and do some work. They have lots of lovely animals and the hotel is in a great location for diving with Reef Haven - just a 5 min walk down the road.
