The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff is professional and very friendly. Good breakfast. The hotel is very quiet as there are only 8 rooms, all with river view. It’s my second time here and I have already booked my next stay.

Very charming, family-run hotel in the hills of the Douro Valley with not only an extraordinary view on the bending river. But most strikingly - the house has personality which obviously reflects the owner’s passion for place, history and intimacy. Vintage items, personal photos here and there makes you feel like staying at a friends’ place who also has lovely recommendations at hand when you look for places to explore. And if you want to just relax and enjoy the view - the hotel’s pool and the surrounding terraces are just perfect to calm down. Moreover: one of us was sick during our stay - and the hosts were super helpful, understanding and supporting, this was extraordinary. Thank you so much!

Nestled along the Douro River, Douro Hotel Porto Antigo. is housed in a historic building. It features an outdoor swimming pool, in-house massages and a restaurant serving European dishes. The location and views from the hotel are amazing. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were extremely kind and welcoming.

With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is situated 800 metres from Lamego’s centre. Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner. Beautiful hotel, very big rooms and very clean. The facilities were great, enjoyed the spa to the fullest. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Also, breakfast was amazing, even better than what was expected!
