Located in Kinigi, Kinigi Cottage offers accommodation with a hot tub, a hammam and spa facilities. The accommodation features a spa bath and a sauna. This place was incredible! The staff was absolutely lovely we stayed three nights and had both dinner and breakfast. The manager is very knowledgeable, the food was great and the space was beautiful. I would come back to Rwanda just to hang out here.

Offering mountain views, Future4Kids Kinigi Guest House By Isange paradise resort in Kinigi offers accommodation, a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. This is one of the best places i have ever stayed. The location is very close to the volcanoes national park center, the house is beautiful and well structured, the caretaker is amazing and even the possibility to order (super tasty) dinner from the main hotel is a great add-on. Of course, all of this is topped by the fact that staying here means you support a very nice organisation, which is doing a remarkable job. This is one of my most straight-forward recommendations, there is no way i am back in Rwanda and don’t visit it.

With garden views, Sambora Kinigi is situated in Kinigi and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Sambora Kinigi is a gem. We were welcomed to the Sambora Lodge by an unbelievably warm and helpful staff who attended to our every need. Our cottage was perfect, with a roaring fire to welcome us after a delicious meal prepared by a talented chef who uses local, fresh ingredients to make wholesome gourmet meals accompanied by a selection of fine wines. The planned activities from which to choose are world class – top of the list is Gorilla trekking, which was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We had the opportunity to canoe on pristine lakes, visit community groups working with artisans and really experience life in Rwanda’s northern region. The Diane Fossey Campus is literally right around the corner and well worth the visit. We were made to feel at home in this top-notch facility, with our every need catered to – massages in room, fresh local flowers from the luscious gardens, and the best turn-down service ever. But truly the Sambora family made the stay extra special for us.

Set 43 km from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, URUGANO VIRUNGA PALACE offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and a bar. I had a wonderful stay at Uragano Virunga Palace, and everything exceeded my expectations. The hotel is beautifully located with breathtaking views of the Virunga volcanoes, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. What truly made my stay special was the exceptional service. I would like to sincerely thank Dan and Sarah, who went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable throughout my stay. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made me feel very welcome and well accommodated. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall environment was calm and enjoyable. From check-in to check-out, the experience was smooth and professional. I highly recommend Uragano Virunga Palace to anyone visiting Musanze or Volcanoes National Park. I will definitely be happy to stay here again.

Lovely place, well located, amazing staff, very good food, comfortable common areas and rooms, attention to detail including boot cleaning, foot massages, bed warmers, nice fireplace in room, bathrobes and slippers, tea in room, lovely garden, etc.

Offering garden views, Volcanoes Over View Safaris & Camp in Nyarugina provides accommodation and a garden. We loved the setting - eating breakfast in the outdoors while having all the volcanoes in view. The staff were super friendly and great to chat with. Michael was provided very helpful advice regarding transport and directions, as well as insights into the culture of Rwanda. Since rain was a possibility, they offered the room and tent for us to use as we prefer during our stay. Also very good local food!

Virunga Inn Resort & Spa has a fitness centre, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Kinigi. This 4-star hotel offers room service and a concierge service. The resort met all my expectations and I was impressed with my stay. The welcoming was superb. I was offered an upgraded superior room which was super clean and specious with great amenities. The food was what i expected and the indian Chef Mr Vinod did a great job in preparing my vegetarian meal. All staff were super friendly and everything was taken care of. I will definitely return to stay at Virunga Inn.
