Located in Kinigi, Kinigi Cottage offers accommodation with a hot tub, a hammam and spa facilities. The accommodation features a spa bath and a sauna. The location and facilities of the cottage are great. The manager is also able to provide you with any necessary information or means of transport to the activities you booked in the area. I also have to give high marks to the chef because all the food I had in the cottage was delicious.

This is one of the best places i have ever stayed. The location is very close to the volcanoes national park center, the house is beautiful and well structured, the caretaker is amazing and even the possibility to order (super tasty) dinner from the main hotel is a great add-on. Of course, all of this is topped by the fact that staying here means you support a very nice organisation, which is doing a remarkable job. This is one of my most straight-forward recommendations, there is no way i am back in Rwanda and don’t visit it.

Extremely comfortable, beautifully designed, and perfectly integrated into nature. Waking up in the morning to that breathtaking view of the volcanoes was unforgettable. And after traveling through East Africa for three months, having consistent hot water and a proper hot shower was such a luxury. Showering while enjoying a stunning view of the volcano — that is something truly special. This place is a hidden gem and highly recommendable for anyone staying in the region for gorilla or monkey trekking. It offers the perfect mix of adventure, nature, comfort, and relaxation. The views are incredible, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the people give their whole heart to this hotel. You can truly see how dedicated they are — the hospitality is next level. Virunga Inn Resort & Spa has a fitness centre, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Kinigi. This 4-star hotel offers room service and a concierge service. The resort met all my expectations and I was impressed with my stay. The welcoming was superb. I was offered an upgraded superior room which was super clean and specious with great amenities. The food was what i expected and the indian Chef Mr Vinod did a great job in preparing my vegetarian meal. All staff were super friendly and everything was taken care of. I will definitely return to stay at Virunga Inn.
