We stayed in a room with a balcony facing the mountain and it felt like an amazing oasis with our own private hot springs in the clouds. I could have stayed forever! It was so beautiful that we never went downstairs to try the larger facilities. The breakfast buffet both mornings was fantastic and the woman cooking was very helpful at explaining everything in English to my daughters.

We selected this hotel based on the child friendly water play area and it did not let us down. Additionally we were pleasantly surprised with the wealth of hot pools and spa facilities for adults including the feet nibbling fish in-house. Breakfast was really great - we spent a long time enjoying the offerings. The location was near town center and train station. Parking was included.

In contrast, I recommend this place for a short stay.

Yukwanhai Hostel tem um jardim, salão partilhado, um terraço e bar em Toucheng. Apresentando serviços de massagem, o alojamento está situado a 1,9 km de Daxi Honeymoon Bay Beach. This is truly a hidden gem. We were biking around Taiwan and were actually considering to stop earlier that day in a different place but thanks to some extra energy we managed to get an extra 20km in and end up here which was the best thing that could have happened. One can clearly tell that a lot of effort, attention to detail and love went into this place. Checkin was as easy as it gets despite us arriving at a time when no-one from the staff was there, because it was a very slow afternoon in the off-season. Easy instructions via the booking app did everything we needed. We could even park our bikes inside in the entrance area of the small attached cafe. Our room was very modern, spotlessly clean and decorated very well. We were actually the only guests that night and despite that the owner offered to cock us anything from the menu or simply have the same as she and a friend of hers had. We chose the latter and had one of the best meals of our entire stay. In the morning the breakfast was also incredibly tasty and prepared us very well for a last and extremely rainy ride to Taipeh.
