We had an amazing experience at the resort. Our room was huge, nicely furnished and with amazing views of the pool and beach. The facility was very clean and staff were very helpful. It is amazing that the resort has a clinic on site and a doctor was able to see me very quickly when I felt unwell. The buffet selections are good. The hotel location is good in relation to ATM machines, grocery stores and other places.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The staff were amazing—friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. A special mention goes to the owner, who truly goes out of their way to make everyone feel at home. You can really feel the warm, family-like atmosphere here, which makes a huge difference when traveling. I would absolutely recommend Hostel 197 to anyone looking for a comfortable place with great people and positive energy. I’d happily stay here again.

Super quiet area, but if you want to take a long walk on the beach you can find more life in other places not too far. We loved our stay at The Soul and would happily return there

Amazing experience, it’s the first time I stay in a hostel and Compass exceeded my expectations. The beds are huge, with the good private detail of the curtains, each of them have a safe box and fan which makes it perfect. The place is clean, the bathroom and shower are very comfortable and with good water pressure. Not to mention the location it’s close to every important spot in Nungwi. The staff is also very friendly and helpful if needed. Thank you!
