Set in Kailua-Kona, 2 km from Magic Sands Beach, The Bamboo House has a garden, parking on-site and rooms with free WiFi access. We chose this place for our first night on the Hawaiian Islands. It’s about a 20-30 minute drive from the airport. The popular restaurants are also within a 2-3 mile drive, so it’s a great location! The surrounding neighborhood is very quiet. The overall service and room were very thoughtful. The check-in process was simple and clear, with insect-repelling scents and sprays, a small nightlight in the bathroom, a guestbook by the door, and even face masks available! There’s also a steam iron and regular iron to choose from. We only realized after leaving that there was no TV, which fits perfectly with the bamboo and zen concept.
