Set 2 km from Vassar College, The Heartwood offers 3-star accommodation in Poughkeepsie and features a fitness centre, a restaurant and a bar. Wonderful hotel more or less on Vassar grounds. We loved it and would have stayed a few more days.

Fantastic friendly and helpful staff. Location to train station and easy walk to main street. Lovely equipped room, so felt like a real retreat. Extra touches were evident throughout. Restaurant food was a bonus, so good for gluten free folk!

Located in Woodstock, 42 km from Historic Huguenot Street, Hotel Dylan provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Really easy to find and park. Upon arrival, the staff were super lovely, allowing me to check in half an hour early. The room was spectacular with an extremely comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with a great shower! It was very clean and felt really at home. As a solo traveller the whole vibe of the hotel felt really welcoming and safe. I didn’t check out the pool as I had no swimming stuff but it looked amazing. As I was on the ground floor it also seemed really accessible for anyone who has accessibility needs so would definitely recommend to them also. I loved the decor, the Beatles album on record player was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend and stay again in the future if I’m ever this way!
