Luan, the owner was incredibly kind and generous during our stay. Even though it was a busy holiday week he made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our trip including booking a bus from Hanoi to Ba Be and back (local busses only can be tricky when you don't speak Vietnamese) and suggested places to visit and rented us a kayak a motorbike at last minute notice. The food at his restaurant is the best we have had in Vietnam and the dorm rooms were clean spacious and quiet. Of you are travelling to Ba Be I highly recommend staying here. The Hua Ma cave is fantastic. I highly recommend checking it out!

It is also interesting to walk to the nearby ethnic villages.

We loved the dinner with the fire and the barbecue. The pool is amazing in front of the lake. The staff very polite, at your disposal and very nice.
