We had a wonderful stay at The Houghton Hotel during our trip to South Africa. The hotel is incredibly modern and stylish, with very spacious rooms. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—exactly what we needed after a long flight. One of the highlights was the breakfast, very tasty and lots of options. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, and we were especially grateful that they accommodated a very early check-in so we could rest right away. Although we didn’t get a chance to use the hotel’s amenities, we did take a look around and everything—from the pool area to the wellness facilities—looked top-notch and beautifully maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale base in Johannesburg.

I loved how spacious the rooms were. The staff is amazing especially Koketso the shuttle driver. He made sure we are welcomed and gave us exceptional service hey.

Sunrock Guesthouse offers free airport shuttle is available from and to OR Tambo International Airport, a barbecue and entertainment area, a fully-licensed bar and an outdoor pool. Nice and close to the airport. Our flight got in at 2.30am am which was over an hour delayed. They were there to pick us up and had our room ready to go, let us check in the following morning which meant so much after the long flight we had. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of options.
