The showers are heated by a fire, which is why the room can sometimes smell a little. However, this wasn't a problem and it's a very sustainable method. There are set times for hot showers, but you can let them know if you want to shower at a different time. Pool cold due to season but good to have one! Very relaxing green area with a lot of plants. Massage was very good and is booked via hotel.

We stayed at Muke Village Guesthouse for three nights and wished we could have stayed for a month—that’s how much we loved it. Our 8-year-old couldn’t get enough of sitting around the fire, playing football with the local kids, and exploring the village. What a fantastic community! We travel extensively, and this experience stands out as one of the very best we’ve ever had. Muke Guesthouse isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a full experience for life. The breakfast is fantastic and absolutely worth it, and the dinners are just as delicious. We hadn’t planned to eat dinner at Muke, but we ended up having it every night because we didn’t want to waste a moment away from the village. They also arranged an excellent taxi driver for us at a reasonable price, which made getting around easy. We will never forget our time here, and we will surely be back!
