Our family stayed here for one night in July. Just outside of some of the busiest spots, we found this absolutely charming example of what an independent motel should be. The room was clean and very well maintained. The amenities had us wishing we were there for more than just a nights sleep. There are BBQ's available for use which we would absolutely plan to use next time since finding dinner on the island can be a trick in peak-season. The campfire pit, playground, and pool are all waiting for our return to the island, which may not be for some time so let's keep this place packed and open for when we come back! The prices were comparable to the other accommodations, but the amenities made it a better value. The owner was a fantastic human who has turned the office into a lovely little gift shop and very welcoming place. We were also welcomed by a red fox on the road turning in. We stayed in many places during our 10-day excursion and this was one of the few places that we really wish we had been able to stay at longer. Please stay here, you won't regret it.

When arriving we had already booked a campsite but our tent broke in the strong winds. We were soaked without a tent and tired. We looked up places ti sleep near by and found this cottage. We seen it had a bed and a shower and at this point that’s all we wanted. Upon arriving we were greeted by the owner. He chatted with us about where we were from once he heared how our night was and that we were going to go get food. He grabbed a large map. Circled destination points , circled camp grounds close by, explained what areas were good for tourist attentions. Suggested a restaurant close by. Upon entering our room we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room , cleanliness, and brightness. It was very cute and welcoming. It had everything you could think of and more. Microwave , tea kettle , toaster , hot plate , utensils, kitchen sink with soap, tv, large couch , small table with two chairs , large comfortable bed, bathroom with a full size fridge and freezer, blow dryer , broom , nice shower. A nice deck attached with table and chairs as well as a bbq. Close to other tourist attractions but tucked away enough to feel like your camping. I’d highly recommend this place and If the future ever allows we’ll be returning

    Loved the location and the distance from the road . Also loved the cottage! It was awesome. My grand kids were a few rooms away and it was perfect. Had a lovely playground and plenty of area for the dog and kids to run! Pool was also fantastic
