The location is very special. I long for the sound of the river and the birds! The staff is exceptional. They were helpful, kind and knowledgeable. They helped us experience the birds in ways I would have not imagined.

I enjoyed everything about this lodge. The owners were exceptionally friendly and very helpful, providing me with many ideas of things to see and places to visit for birding in the area. Breakfast (not that I ate that often) was delicious & plentiful. Dinner (I had a couple of nights) was delicious. The owners were always in contact if they had questions or if I had questions were ready to answer.

#1 Marcela the host!!!! She went above and beyond to take care of us complete with taking our laundry into town to get it done FAST, took us to waterfalls, birding, and to the Friday night food stalls in town for great food from her friend, Millie (who owns Cascada La Escondida- a must visit).

We loved the stay with Rodrigo and his family. The house is surrounded by so much nature and a few lovely animals. Our room no 1 was spacious, clean and had an amazing view. The bed was very comfortable! Only 1,50 dollar taxi ride from town. We loved it to be in the quiet nature. The included breakfast was very good too. If you need food, it can be ordered in Gina's Restaurant in town. A great place where all the river people meet. Overall, an amazing stay, thank you!
