As far as my family and I are concerned, the little corner of the world that Angus and Claire share with their guests truly is a small piece of paradise on earth. Rarely have I met such charming, warm-hearted and helpful people. From the very first moment, you feel genuinely welcome, and it is clear that Angus and Claire put a great deal of care into making sure their guests have everything they need. The cottage itself is wonderfully cosy and lovingly furnished. The small lake is particularly beautiful, with several seating areas that invite you to relax, watch the animals or simply sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. During our previous visit, we were already delighted by the dogs and the cat. Since then, the collection of animals has grown to include goats, sheep, chickens and chicks. In practical terms, it feels almost like staying in a small private zoo, although one filled with exceptionally tame residents who are more than happy to be spoiled, fed and stroked. Despite its wonderfully peaceful and rural setting, the cottage is very conveniently located. A shopping centre can be reached within just a few minutes on foot, allowing you to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside without giving up easy access to shops and everyday necessities. For us, this is a truly special place. Once again, we felt completely at home, and we have already agreed to return next year. Leaving is always difficult and feels almost like being gently expelled from paradise.
