Very clean room, everything worked, except TV didn't like PM, but better reception Morning. Didn't have bedside light, that would have been better.

A wonderful and cosy room, very friendly staff, great restaurant and pub on site.

Our stay was superb. Nothing was too much trouble and Ed our host was fantastic. Our room, Lover Buck Lodge was fantastic. The bathroom was spacious with a walk in shower and plenty of clean towels daily. The bed was the low type and very comfortable. There was a room heater, fan, hairdryer, iron and board. The breakfast hamper was full of items and sat on top of a mini fridge containing bottled milk and water. There was also a coffee maker and kettle with plenty of teas, coffees, sugar and biscuits. The wooden flooring added to the room and there was a small built in wardrobe plus a drawer unit. Due to the opening hours, we could only eat at the Lower Buck on one evening of ours 3 night stay. The food was superb from a good menu and the bar was fully stocked with spirits and ales All in all our stay receives 10/10. We shall definitely be back.

It was very comfortable, tastefully decorated, a nice surprise to have Christmas decorations and a very nice selection of food and wine. We loved the location as well.

We loved absolutely everything about this wee find. Came across it by chance and couldn’t believe how perfect it was for one overnight. The staff are probably the best there is in any stays I have recently stayed in and I travel a lot for work. When I first arrived myself , Simon the owner was over sitting with me, made me a pot of tea then took me a wee tour of the the premises before taking me to our room. Loved loved it and can’t wait to go back 💖

A large town house in the centre of Clitheroe within a few minutes walk of everything. We were on an annual road trip from Spain to visit family in the area for a wedding and it was a perfect base for us. The house is very comfortable and is well equipped.

This is an exceptional property which has been beautifully decorated, was wonderfully clean and, as we visited in December, had some tasteful and thoughtful Christmas touches, including a tree. We found everything we needed and enjoyed the space as a family with two teenagers.

Very well situated in Clitheroe with a large sitting room and well equipped dining/kitchen. Parking was easy on the road. The house was nice and warm when we arrived, and during our stay. There was also a log burner in the dining room. There was a bathroom upstairs, with a bath and shower and a shower room downstairs, so adequate for 6 people.

Very cosy and spacious loved it

The little details were great. Tea ,coffee sauces etc. It was just perfect, would recommend and would definitely return.

We always stay at Melrose if we are in the area for work as it’s everything we need and is always clean, comfortable and the parking is a bonus. Lovely area. Hosts brilliant. Highly recommended.

Great location, superb hotel. Never green before but we were amazed with the old fashioned decor as you enter the hotel. Room was excellent as was dinner. Bar staff very friendly.

Stylish, clean and comfortable. Owners communication was excellent. Love the lakeside location and walks near by. Added bonus having a hot tub!

Having found this property very last minute on Christmas eve due to another property cancelling we were extremely lucky to find it and it exceeded our expectations. Kim was very responsive to messages. Its beautifully thought out, decorated to a high standard and has a very cosy feel. Such a lovely view too. Was such a bonus to be able to put our presents under a real tree. The pub down the road is also lovely. We will definitely stay here again.
