Lovely warm welcome. The photos don't give this delightful apartment justice. A bottle of wine was left for us as well as bottles of water in the fridge and almond cakes, which were delicious with coffee in the mornings. There are 3 seating areas around the wrap around terrace as well as seating in the very well maintained garden. The kitchen is super well equipped. The whole place is immaculately clean. 5 stars all round ✨️

During a cycling trip, I found a magical spot at Jesper and Susan’s place. Their home is authentic, comfortable, and full of charm. The shower is hot and indulgent, the bed is large and very comfortable, and the living space is practical with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Their hospitality felt natural and effortless, making me feel as if I had arrived home. In the morning, I went down to meditate by the stream, and later said goodbye to the chickens, the dog, the cat, the goose — and this wonderful family. I’m sure I’ll be back.

You guys made our stay truly special and ensured we didn’t have a single worry. ❤️ We stayed at Tenuta Castello dell’Aquila for three nights as a couple, and it was so wonderful that I felt compelled to write this review – something I rarely do. The atmosphere of this place is something else: the historic castle full of soul and stories, the warm and welcoming community around it, the romantic and lovingly designed grounds with details in every corner. From every angle, you're greeted with breathtaking panoramic views over the Tuscan valley – and when you’re relaxing at the dreamy pool, it’s easy to forget the outside world exists. Our absolute highlight: the unforgettable dinners on the terrace at sunset. The incredible antipasti platter, the attentive and kind service, and that view – oh, that view! – made each evening magical. It’s the kind of experience that makes you want to keep this place a secret… but it's just too good not to share. One small tip: we came straight from a three-week trip with two huge suitcases, and we definitely got our workout in – as is proper in a castle with real character, there are quite a few stairs (and the views from the rooms are worth every step!). If you can, pack a smaller bag for your stay to make it easier. We will definitely be back. Thank you for this unforgettable experience. 💫

The highlights: The Garden: A peaceful oasis surrounded by nature. The Views: Absolutely idyllic mountain panoramas. Pet-Friendly: Our cat and dog had a blast playing with the sweet "queen" of the house, the little dog Polly.
