The place phenomenal. It was an antique piece of the family estate, used as a stable that they decided to restructure and offer as a lodge. Although it is antique everything in the inside is brand new and very comfort. The bedroom was very cozy witha relaxing lightning system, temperature always adequate and the mattress perfect. Restroom was also a plus. Kitchen and common facilities were very handy, cleaned and wide. The hot tub positioned to the Mountain View was definitely the cherry on top of the pie!

I highly recommend this accommodation. Guests have at their disposal the entire three-story house with a kitchen, living room and bedroom with incredible mountain views. The area impresses with its silence and natural beauty. The house has absolutely everything for the comfort of guests, as well as breakfast included. There are a couple of amazing places to visit within a few minutes drive to admire the beauty of the place, and there is also an amazing waterfall within an hour's drive where you can swim.

- friendly owners. -Wonderful breakfast on a terrace with mountain views (mostly sweets with different home cakes and pies every day and the best croissants). I prefer a savory breakfast and was fine too with toast, cheese, eggs. Great coffee. - location: quiet, silent, sky full of stars like we ’ve had never seen them before - little city Santa Sofia is close (20 min by car), there you have restaurants and small supermarkets - area perfect for nature lovers. We love to hike and Il Palazzo didn’t disappoint. The owners can provide you with good information. Right at the hotel starts the 4 km trail ‘sentiero naturale’. You can also do at least 2 long hikes starting at the hotel (1 > Hike around lake Ridracoli; 2 > hike up to San Paolo in Alpe). For a longer stay there are plenty of starting points within a 30 to 45 minutes drives. The car rides through nature are lovely as well. The national park ‘Foreste Casentinesi’ has a good app and a helpful website with tons of info concerning the many hikes in this amazing area. We spent a hot summer week at ‘Il Palazzo’. We hiked every day, the forest gives you lots of shadow which makes it feasible - after a long day of hiking it’s lovely to have dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Really good food and not too expensive. If you want to eat somewhere else there are at least two restaurants within a 5 minute drive (we tried La vera Romagna and loved it!) - even though it was very hot, the temperature in the room was good to sleep in. The B&B was amazing, it is set on the mountainside in a beautiful location with horses, donkeys, dogs, and some very sweet kittens. As hikers we were slightly concerned about the distance from the town but both Ombretta and her neighbour were incredibly kind to offer us lifts! It was such a peaceful and wonderful place to be, the breakfast was exceptional and I can safely say that the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. We didn't want to leave!

Beautiful location in village of Pianetto. The small road is used for breakfast and early evening drinks creating a lovely sense of community including excellent live music on occasions. We stayed for 5 nights which felt perfect to explore the local area. Stunning countryside and interesting local towns to visit. Loved the rivers / waterfalls nearby - one which was like an outdoor water-park with plunge pools and slides over rocks. The hosts were fantastic, and communication was fine, despite the language barriers. Excellent home cooked food at breakfast and fantastic meals in restaurant. A real hidden gem with the best of rural Italy.

The location is nice. Food and personnel are all great. Reasonably priced. Fun "neighbours": a lot of chirping birds and a very big, old grumpy cat living in the garden right out of the room.

Very clean and comfortable, modern room. Great location and view from the terrace. I could also safely store and charge by ebike there, so that was a bonus. Good value
