Host arrived to deliver extra shampoo, conditioner and soap! Great location, so close to restaurants and a supermarket too! Home is thoughtfully set up, things can be found intuitively.

The hotel is clean and tidy as a whole. The kitchen has an oven, microwave, refrigerator, gas stove, electric water heater, many charging ports, and the washer and dryer is also very easy to use. They also give free hot spring tickets (a great experience in the public bathhouse) and provide us with welcome drinks, which is very thoughtful!

We had an absolutely perfect 3-day stay at this villa! The house was incredibly clean and it was a wonderful opportunity to experience a traditional yet comfortable Japanese home. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. ​The biggest highlight was the host's amazing hospitality. The villa comes with a free car rental, which was a huge plus. On top of that, since we were traveling with two toddlers, the host went out of his way to find and arrange two car seats for us before we arrived. We were so touched by his thoughtfulness! ​The only downside is that because it’s a quiet residential village, there are no convenience stores or restaurants within walking distance. However, since a car is provided with the stay, this was absolutely not a problem at all. Thanks to the car, we were able to easily visit Yufuin and the African Safari, which our kids absolutely loved. Having the car made it so easy to drive anywhere we wanted. ​I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Beppu, especially families with kids. We had a wonderful stay at the Blue House in Beppu. The traditional design, wooden details, and peaceful atmosphere made it a truly unique experience. Everything was clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully prepared. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to others!
