as most other reviews say, it’s basically perfect.

The room was excellent. The free drinks and dining area was great. Breakfast was superb. One of the best stays in our Japan visit. The onsen was great.

Indoor and outdoor onsen was really great and clean. All necessary facilities included. Room just fit 2 people and 2 large suitcases. Bus stops right next to the hotel or just across the road. Otherwise 10 minute walk to Beppu station.

Great value for money, the room was well equipped and the location was great.

Very close to Train Station. Parking available across the hotel. Only 5000 yen for whole day and also allow you go in and out at no extra charge.

This is a smaller annexe next to the main building. You can use all the facilities of the main building, such as the onsen and rooftop pool. I visited the onsen frequently. It's all natural, and there's an outdoor onsen too. The rooftop view is lovely, and the pool is heated. Great location - a short walk from Beppu station and Tokiwa Shopping Mall. I am very satisfied with our stay.

Outstanding place to relax and great food.

The facilities at the hotel were very clean and modern. We had a very comfortable room, and enjoyed the public (outdoor and indoor) onsens as well as the very delicious locally themed dinner and breakfast meals. We also loved the extra amenities, which include but were not limited to a variety of drinks, popsicles and an outstanding shampoo/conditioner bar. There is also a free 20 minute shuttle bus to and from Beppu Station. We were able to conveniently book this shuttle initially by contacting the hotel privately through the Booking app. Finally, the staff were extremely welcoming, kind and friendly thoughout our stay. It was hard to leave and we would definitely consider coming back in the future.

The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. My 15 month got a yukata. Loved the iced cold and hot water for consumption in the room. The room face the Beppu bay.

We loved this tiny simple hotel! It is just next to the famous Beppu onsen, close to supermarket and the main street with all the hells. Just a superb location and traditional Japanese tatami and futon bedroom. The accommodation is very basic but the staff makes it exceptional but patiently explaining jigoku cooking and even renting dishes and recommending times. The guy should get a raise, what an absolute hero! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our Beppu stay unforgettable.

The house was clean and spacious, we found there everything we needed: comfortable beds, towels, washing machine (without drier, but the weather was good to dry clothes on the balcony), kitchen stuff, etc. And the flowers were lovely! Check-in and check-out was well explained and we had no problems. Next time I would like to stay there longer :).

Dinner is better than enough, main dishes with buffet, excellent! This is the second time I stayed in Rex Hotel beppu. I came back because of good experience. Every single room with balcony and seaview. Staffs are great and helpful.

Check in by tablet was simple. We were in a superior family room which had a very large lounge with a very big sofa.
