The hotel seems to be very new and everything feels just right. It starts with the tatami mats on the whole hotel area which is walkable without shoes and it ends with the very nice onsen on the 13th floor. You have two big onsens and 7 private onsen baths which are "first come, first serve". But no worries, you will find a free bath quite fast. During the waiting time, you can enjoy free ice cream, massage chairs or mangas (jp only) with a great view over beppu. The hotel is worth every yen you will spend and the hot onsen water baths are the cherry on the top. Definately recommend to stay here👍.

Super convenient location. Next to JR & bus station. Many restaurants nearby. Bathtub is available. Sea view with sunrise at room.

Great location, very attentive staff, lovely breakfast and overall nice place to stay, especially if you are a solo traveller.

Location is very perfect for me .nearby my daughter University Dom only 3 mins .room is new and quiet and price is reasonable. And the best on top floor has a cozy hot spring really good 👍 the front desk staffs can speak good English 👍

The breakfast was superb, plenty of choices! The receptionist team is the best and will lend you a hand in case of any assistance needed

This was my second time staying here. The location is right across the street from the station. They have the in-house onsen which I love. The staff are helpful. Obviously I would stay here again.

Great free nibbles and drinks on arrival. Onsen was excellent and extra touches like free ice creams and ice blocks and drinks after bathing. The best hotel we stayed in in Japan - the other really good one was also a Grandvrio at Miyajima

Hotel is like a work of art, you can get lost in it. The experience from check in to check out was amazing staff is speaking English which is a huge plus if you have any questions. Room was huge with big balcony which had an amazing view of Beppu. I did book private onsen which was amazing experience. They did think of all the small details.

The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. My 15 month got a yukata. Loved the iced cold and hot water for consumption in the room. The room face the Beppu bay.

We loved this tiny simple hotel! It is just next to the famous Beppu onsen, close to supermarket and the main street with all the hells. Just a superb location and traditional Japanese tatami and futon bedroom. The accommodation is very basic but the staff makes it exceptional but patiently explaining jigoku cooking and even renting dishes and recommending times. The guy should get a raise, what an absolute hero! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our Beppu stay unforgettable.

The house was clean and spacious, we found there everything we needed: comfortable beds, towels, washing machine (without drier, but the weather was good to dry clothes on the balcony), kitchen stuff, etc. And the flowers were lovely! Check-in and check-out was well explained and we had no problems. Next time I would like to stay there longer :).

Outstanding hotel. Very minimalist design, which is better than you might think. Some comments here talking about stairs being an issue, but there's about 16 wide steps in total, which you can zip up in about 2 seconds. Really not that big of an issue. Everything works perfectly, AC/Shower/WiFi are all top notch. Spacious shower which is separate to the toilet which is nice. Staff are excellent, the bartender is very professional and polite, great to talk with everyone. Really good location to the tourist area as well and close to buses heading into the city. You get a sandwich every night delivered to your room for breakfast the next day (it'll be in your fridge if you're out). These are delicious. I wish I didn't have to leave, it's very much a hidden gem in Beppu. I'll be back one day for sure.

Dinner is better than enough, main dishes with buffet, excellent! This is the second time I stayed in Rex Hotel beppu. I came back because of good experience. Every single room with balcony and seaview. Staffs are great and helpful.

Check in by tablet was simple. We were in a superior family room which had a very large lounge with a very big sofa.
