The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There is a bathroom attached to the dorm. Private rooms can either also use that bathroom or go to the back covered verandah. You have to like having a dog's and cats around the house. I didn't find them a problem. You can walk to town 10 - 15m or taxi $2. Grounds are beautiful! Owner/host lives on property and makes you feel right at home--he converses in multiple languages and prepares wonderful omlettes and french toast for breakfast! His small staff is friendly and helps keep this well run place sparkling clean. Hummingbirds abound! Dogs are friendly and entertaining pets! There were 4 dogs and many cats (which I loved!) but for the people who don’t like pets I don’t think it would be a big issue as they are well behaved and don’t come to you unless you go to them.
