Like heaven on earth. The chalets, which had a veranda overlooking the sea, were beautiful. They could sleep three people. The grounds were very nice. I think they grew some of their own food. The views of the sea and the nearby mountain were really good. You ate your meals on a veranda where my friend and I watched a thunderstorm. The staff was really accommodating. There were a couple of beaches within walking distance. There was also a town nearby which we didn't get too. The meals were exceptional. We were only going to stay one night. We stayed two nights. I would go back in an instant. It was really a unexpected treasure.

The residencial setting is super quiet, surrounded by nature yet a short 5 minute drive takes you to the beach. The bedroom was super comfortable, having everything you could possibly need - including hot shower which in Sao Tome is rare. The staff were all super lovely and cooked amazing meals - the octopus there was the best I had the whole trip. Outside the bedroom, there's a shared balcony where you can enjoy the sounds of nature before dozing off.

I stayed in Eco-Por my last two days in São Tomé. It was just perfect. Felt like I am in middle of tropical forest and I was alone. Beautifully designed, clean home. I had an accident on my way there, ended up in hospital couple of hours as I broke my leg. Arrived there in a taxi with plastered leg. The staff (Rodrigo) did everything to make sure I was okay, checked on me every few hours, brought me me food from village. I managed to get rest in my way long journey home. Place has, I believe no restaurant etc but next to a big village for any need. Couldn’t walk around the area but sitting on my private terrace, looking down to river and listening the nature really made stay there. Breakfast was not included but staff (Fabio, his name I think) made very nice breakfast my two morning there. Many fruit, juice, hot drink, letter and fresh bread was more than enough. Ned was on hard side but was comfortable for me. WiFi, aircon, mini fridge worked very well. It was a perfect way of ending my active holiday in São Tomé.
