Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Nungwi

We spent only one night in this place (the first one in zanzibar) and it was perfect. Room a bit small but perfect, clean, comfortable beds. Perfect shower. Perfect breakfast and dinner. Good value for what it cost. The restaurant in the rooftop was excellent, with a beautiful view. We came back for dinner on our last night in Nungwi. Location is perfect very close to the beach even though, i didn't swim in that particular one (algues, urchins....) Olga is a very nice welcoming lady and her staff was perfect. Definitely can come back to this place.

Excellent location, right on Nungwi beach. The property feels very safe with 24-hour security. The owners are extremely kind and always available to help with anything you need. The breakfast is delicious.

Absolute treat & really well located. Amazing set up, good attention to details, simple & delicious food (I recommend the tuna tartar) but most importantly LOVELY staff, super friendly, helpful & just so welcoming. We will be coming back.

Very clean was kind and helpful

Really amazing location! The view from the beach house area towards the beach was beautiful. Helpful staff!

Friendly staff and a cozy bar and restaurant right at the beach

First of all, I mostly liked the staff there. All of the people working there are very nice and helpful. For example, I got very hungry at night one day. The cook had already left, but they asked him to come back in order to cook for me. That was very nice of them. The food tastes very good, and it is not expensive at all. After eating there that night, I decided to have dinner there every day cause I knew it was good. In general, everyone is very kind and smiling all the time. Thank you for being so welcoming! Also, their generators are working perfectly. I’ve had some bad experiences in different hotels in Zanzibar. Here, you know that you don’t have any problems with power. The breakfast is alright. The pool area is nice too. I felt very comfortable inside and outside my room. The location is good, you need like 7-10 minutes to Royal beach.

All lights, door locks, and fixtures worked seamlessly

Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. They made it our new home away from home would definitely recommend to others to stay at!

The staff were so kind and really helpful… the area was surrounded by local shops that were good eating spots ! the whole resort was just a place you can relax at !

Hotel beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. Staff were genuinely welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxing, cause they made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Always ready to help with a smile. Even though I only stayed one night, it left a great impression.

The place is like in the photos, very nice garden and swimming pool quiet safe place, everyone was friendly and always ready to help, owner always answers very fast for any of my questions. Definitely recommend.

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. A special mention goes to Fey, who was absolutely wonderful to us! He was so kind and friendly, and he made our trips to the beach club much more fun and enjoyable. Thank you, Fey, for making our experience extra special! The hotel’s biggest advantage is definitely the convenience of having access to the beach club. It makes the stay much more enjoyable and is a great highlight of the overall experience. Overall, we had a good stay, and the warm, attentive staff made a real difference!

The place is very nice and near by the beach.

The best part for me was for sure the location, near to the beach and restaurants and also local part. I had a great time there. The bed was very comfortable, and it had everything you need—no shower amenities, but then again, it’s not a hotel. There was plenty of storage space. The outdoor area was also very nice. The hostess was wonderful—very kind and helpful. Even during power outages (which happen very often in Zanzibar), you could still take a shower and had light in the bathroom. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

We accidentally came across the African bungalows and can surely say it’s one of the nicest hotels we stayed in. The hotel is new and is lovely. So much attention to detail and has this lovely African vibe. From simple things like WiFi connection, which is hard to find in Zanzibar, to air conditioning. The rooms are spotless and service is offered every day. The hotel has a pool, which gives you a break from the busy beach and being constantly approached by people selling tours. The hotel facilities are amazing and so is the stuff working here. We felt so welcome, very safe and looked after.

The place is very nice, clean and organized. The pool is amazing and the staff was always very helpful and nice. The rooms were stunning and the breakfast was huge and delicious. We really had an amazing experience! :)

This was my second time staying at Nungwi Getaway, and once again it was a great experience! The room was clean and comfortable, just a short walk from the beach. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was also very good. Lovely atmosphere and great value, I’d definitely stay here again.
