We had this hotel recommended from one of my Danish friends who stayed here three years ago and stated it was a highlight of her trip in Bolivia. Having travelled for 7 weeks in South America now, we can also say that this is a key highlight of our trip! We stayed in the Suite with Jacuzzi and it was stunning. The attention to detail in the rooms made us feel very cozy and at ease from the get go. We can highly recommend booking this room if you want a huge window with a nature view and the most relaxing setting. The Jacuzzi fits two people and you will have views of the beautiful lake. The staff was so helpful and accommodated all our requests be it tea to the room, an extra night, arranging baggage service or routes to walk around the island- thank you! As we booked a second night we changed rooms as the Suite with Jacuzzi was unavailable. We stayed in a Double Room which was also very nice. All in all, treat yourself to a stay here!

Breathtaking views, lovely hosts, the most comfortable bed we’ve had since traveling and amazing breakfast with views. We enjoyed every second of it and would recommend everyone to stay here!

Located in Comunidad Yumani in the Isla del Sol Island region, Inti Illimani Lodge features a garden. The property has lake and garden views. A à la carte breakfast is available daily at the lodge. The view is incredible and the room is very spacious.

Featuring mountain views, Utasawa in Comunidad Yumani features accommodation, a garden, a private beach area, a shared lounge, a terrace and a restaurant. We absolutely loved staying here. The lodge is owned and operated by a local family. They have built a great lodge that is really well taken care of. The view of the lake from the rooms and the property is absolutely stunning. We found time everyday at the property to just sit on the outside chairs to take in the view, read a bit and watch the people go by with their donkeys and produce from their land. The family (Oscar, Sonia, Lis) were super friendly and helpful. They did a great job with breakfast. We loved that they also offered dinner which Sonia, the mother, makes herself. After taking long hikes around the island, we didn't have the energy to go out for dinner. The guestroom is very well done and super well taken care of and clean. We stayed in a family room with a lake view which was very large. The shower had reasonable pressure and hot water. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of blankets and an electric heater for the chilly nights. It is a very steep climb from the boat drop off point to the various lodges. The Utasawa lodge offers donkey service for getting your luggage up the mountain. I strongly suggest you take advantage of it. We thought it was a bargain, particularly after watching everyone with luggage struggling big time to make it up the mountain to the various lodges and hostals. We were sad to leave after three nights. We highly recommend staying here and would definitely recommend to any of our friends if visiting the island.

Featuring lake views, Utasawa Loft APART in Comunidad Yumani provides accommodation and a garden. With mountain views, this accommodation features a balcony. Brand new building, amazing view, super big comfortable beds wth a heavy quilt and duvet.

Ecolodge Santo Campo has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Isla de Sol. Really beautiful and peaceful place! Location is great as it's super close to the Sun temple in the South part of the Island Cristian and his mom Rosa were super welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was a nice way to start the day By far the nicest place we stayed in Bolivia!! Highly recommend this place

Boasting a private beach area and garden, as well as a restaurant, INTI WASI LODGE is situated in Comunidad Yumani. Had a really good stay here. The room is quite simple, but the view of the lake from the room and terrace is literally that of a five stary hotel. Very comfy bed, friendly owners, good breakfast. Isla del Sol is a beautiful place.

TITI QALA HOSTEL has a private beach area, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Comunidad Challapampa. The rooms come with a patio with mountain views and free WiFi. The bed was very comfy. I loved the heavy blanket. The view is beautiful. The stuff is very friendly and will help you with any questions (Spanish). Basic breakfast with fruits, bread, jam, juice and coffee/tea. I loved the north part of the island the most where this hostel is. People are more friendly and relaxed. VERY IMPORTANT: On the north side, you can enter the island without climbing a steep hill up with your backpack, which you have to do on the south side. The hostel provides internet in the morning and evening which worked well. If you need it during the day you can go to the nearby restaurants. But everyone is hiking the beautiful island in daytime anyway. I recommend hiking the island from north to south over the mountain and back from south to north on the beach side. It's easier. You can easily get around if you start your hike between 9-10 am. So you have enough time for breaks and lunch. Enjoy

Located in Comunidad Yumani, Quilla Wasi - ISLA DEL SOL features a garden, terrace, restaurant, and free WiFi throughout the property. This place is a gem - gorgeous view of lake, bright and clean rooms, hot water in showers, excellent heaters available in room, decent breakfast. Lucy who served breakfast has a lovely manner and is very polite. I stayed 3 nights and she changed my sheets and towels after the 2nd night which was a lovely touch.

LA KANTUTA has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Comunidad Yumani. Wonderfully nice place run by the most friendly family. Great breakfast, unbelievable view and very nice comfortable beds.
