We absolutely loved our stay! We had this hotel recommended from one of my Danish friends who stayed here three years ago and stated it was a highlight of her trip in Bolivia. Having travelled for 7 weeks in South America now, we can also say that this is a key highlight of our trip! We stayed in the Suite with Jacuzzi and it was stunning. The attention to detail in the rooms made us feel very cozy and at ease from the get go. We can highly recommend booking this room if you want a huge window with a nature view and the most relaxing setting. The Jacuzzi fits two people and you will have views of the beautiful lake. The staff was so helpful and accommodated all our requests be it tea to the room, an extra night, arranging baggage service or routes to walk around the island- thank you! As we booked a second night we changed rooms as the Suite with Jacuzzi was unavailable. We stayed in a Double Room which was also very nice. All in all, treat yourself to a stay here!

Terletak sejauh 15 km dari Inka Bath, Ecolodge El descanso menyediakan akomodasi, restoran, taman, teras, dan bar. A perfect spot, in a quieter area, for a few days on the island. You get a gorgeous view. Make sure to get up for sunrise. The hosts are amazing and friendly. The beds are huge and super comfy. I could only get warm-ish water, but it was fine for me after hiking all day. The breakfast was delicious! Amazing bread, freshly squeezed juice and eggs. The dinner was also delicious, get the trout, you will not be disappointed. The wifi is really good. Definitely recommend. Would absolutely come back again.

Oh it is enchanting ! To say that this island is paradise is an understatement but this hotel makes it even more of a haven. Contrary to most places that have a sun deck or a garden, here, you get your own private bungalow with private terrace and lounge chairs plus 2 gardens, and being high up on the hill, the views are stunning. The room is very spacious, with a super comfy bed and a living room area with 2 huge windows overlooking the lake and Illampu( which you also see from the bed). The bathroom is sparkling clean and large. There’s a heater that works so you sleep very well. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, as is dinner. We stayed 2 nights, wishing we had stayed longer. But the very best of all is Sonia and her children who are so nice and welcoming and will do anything possible to make you happy. They arranged for donkeys to carry our luggage, I recommend you do;) Really really can’t recommend this hotel enough.

If you’re thinking about staying on Isla del Sol, YOU HAVE TO STAY HERE! A really lovely guest house! The room I stayed in, looked over the sea and I woke up early to watch sunrise from bed and it was magical!! The beds are really comfy and have lots of blankets to keep you warm as it gets chilly, a basic shared shower, which I thought was cold, until the manager came to turn on the hot water and it was delightful! The owners are really friendly and so happy to welcome you to their place.
