To say that this island is paradise is an understatement but this hotel makes it even more of a haven. Contrary to most places that have a sun deck or a garden, here, you get your own private bungalow with private terrace and lounge chairs plus 2 gardens, and being high up on the hill, the views are stunning. The room is very spacious, with a super comfy bed and a living room area with 2 huge windows overlooking the lake and Illampu( which you also see from the bed). The bathroom is sparkling clean and large. There’s a heater that works so you sleep very well. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, as is dinner. We stayed 2 nights, wishing we had stayed longer. But the very best of all is Sonia and her children who are so nice and welcoming and will do anything possible to make you happy. They arranged for donkeys to carry our luggage, I recommend you do;) Really really can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Although we were delayed by the boat and had to climb what felt like a thousand steps to reach the lodge (a bit of an exaggeration!), the host went out of his way to help—he sent his younger brother to meet us along the way, and he was incredibly kind and helpful. By the time we reached the lodge, night had fallen and the moon was just beginning to rise over the horizon—a massive orange glow that added to the magic of the moment. The views from the lodge were nothing short of breathtaking. It was truly a special and unforgettable experience.

The room I stayed in, looked over the sea and I woke up early to watch sunrise from bed and it was magical!! The beds are really comfy and have lots of blankets to keep you warm as it gets chilly, a basic shared shower, which I thought was cold, until the manager came to turn on the hot water and it was delightful! The owners are really friendly and so happy to welcome you to their place.

This place is a gem - gorgeous view of lake, bright and clean rooms, hot water in showers, excellent heaters available in room, decent breakfast. Lucy who served breakfast has a lovely manner and is very polite. I stayed 3 nights and she changed my sheets and towels after the 2nd night which was a lovely touch.
