Villas at Playa de Coco is a beautifully executed hidden gem. Brand new and impeccably clean, the rooms are thoughtfully designed and truly comfortable. The gracious, attentive staff elevate the experience, and the stunning rooftop views- especially at sunset-are unforgettable. Refined, serene, and effortlessly welcoming.

Set in Maya Beach, a few steps from Maya Beach, Kalimera Beach Hotel offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. Absolutely the best boutique hotel we stayed at in Belize! Everything at Kalimera Beach is so thoughtfully designed — from the moment we arrived, we felt more like family than guests. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their attention to detail makes the stay unforgettable. You get ice for your drinks or to make a refreshing iced coffee (which became our daily ritual). There’s a water tap in front of each room to rinse the sand off your feet before going inside — a small but brilliant touch. The rooms and common areas were spotless, and you can tell a lot of love and care goes into everything here. There are hammocks, a beach gym, paddleboards, kayaks, and games — it’s literally impossible to get bored. The absolute highlight? Sipping an iced coffee while relaxing in a hammock right by the beach, watching the waves roll in. Sometimes you even get a fresh coconut! They also organized an incredible tour for us to Laughing Bird Caye — it was breathtaking, and we even saw a shark! We truly loved every second of our stay. Kalimera Beach is a place you arrive as a guest and leave feeling like part of the family. Can’t recommend it enough!

Located in Placencia Village, 200 metres from Placencia Beach, Alux House has an outdoor swimming pool and rooms with free WiFi access. Alux is close to the sidewalk so very easy to get around the island, beautiful property that is well maintained as well! The A/C is ice cold!!

Coral Cove Inn has a garden, a private beach area and a sun terrace with swimming pool and buffet breakfast in Maya Beach. A few steps from Maya Beach, the inn offers a bar and water sports... The management were impressively, helpful, and engaged. The property is incredibly close to the water. The unit we stayed in had an incredible amount of interesting decorative items. Most I didn’t really notice until the third day there. Multiple excellent restaurants can be found just a short walk down the beach. The property has small paddle boats and fishing rods available to enjoy!

Simberts Apartments features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Maya Beach, 300 metres from Maya Beach. The best thing about the property was the privacy and the lovely garden location! You could be entirely independent and cook your own food using the fully equipped kitchen, or you could head out to nearby restaurants. You could also relax outside in the peaceful garden area and watch the wildlife. I would especially recommend this property for those who are remote working or need some peace during their holiday or trip.

Umaya Resort & Adventures is located on the beachfront in Maya Beach, just a 20-minute drive from Placencia. The staff was very helpful, helped to arranged taxi where needed, and also arranged a free shuttle from the airport and to the marina.

Situated in Maya Beach in the Stann Creek region and Seine Bight Beach reachable within a few steps, Kin Resort Lodge features accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, an outdoor swimming pool... Olivia and Fabio run a beautiful property and went well beyond to insure I had an enjoyable and interesting time in the Placencia Peninsula. There was rain and they organized several trips and taxis etc when the initial activities I had planned had to be cancelled. Can’t speak highly enough of them and K’in.

Facing the beachfront in Placencia Village, Itz'ana Resort & Residences has a bar and a garden. A blend of modern facilities with Colonial and Caribbean vibes, which make the place really beautiful. The rooms are spacious with a great terrace (ours overlooked the pool). The infinity pool is stunning, surrounded by palm trees and gardens with birds, gibnuts and iguanas roaming free. The beach area is great too. The whole place is quiet too which felt like we had the place just for us. Food was good, although it could have been better (see below).

Seabird - Villa 26 is set in Placencia Village. The property is fitted with an outdoor pool and is located 2.1 km from Seine Bight Beach. There is also accommodation available for disabled guests.
