Fabulously friendly and attentive staff, a super cafe (popular with locals as well as guests: you're going to need to book if you want to have Sunday brunch there...), and very comfy beds with the most comfortable pillows I've ever slept on in a Swiss or German hotel. HIGHLY recommended and worth the price.

Izgled hostela je jako poseban. Sve je moderno, ali još uvijek se osjeti industrijski stil. Dobiju se ručnici i moguće je ostaviti torbu nakon check out-a do 6 navečer besplatno. Basel Card je veliki plus.

From the outset they were able to store our luggage which was a huge benefit. The apartment was clean, everything that we needed and more was included (towels, shampoo and coffee were all included), the apartment was in great condition to allow us to cook and to enjoy our time. The location is right above a grocery store which makes getting any essentials super easy. It is slightly outside of downtown core however with the Basel card, transit into town was a breeze.

The place was really clean! And it had everything we needed, even storage for suitcases. The kitchen was well equipped and very comfortable. We even found Channels in our language which made us feel at home. The beds were comfortable as well!

Boravili smo u hotelu Spalentor i oduševljeni smo! Soba je prostrana i lijepa, s prekrasnim pogledom na Spalentor vrata 8 u neposrednoj blizini botaničkog vrta. Osoblje je izuzetno ljubazno i susretljivo, posebno Helena.

Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town. The staff was helpful and courteous. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The shower was great. The location made it easy to walk to city center and museums.
