What an amazing place! Architecturally stunning and the friendliest and most helpful staff imaginable. The breakfast was delightful with organic produce - homemade bread, lovely cheeses, muesli ingredients and a freshly brewed coffee all included - and it was so easy to check in and out and leave my bags until the end of the day after I’d checked out. The location is fantastic with buses to Basel Bad HbHf and Basel BSS running close by. Supermarket around the corner and lots of eateries close by also. Options for singles, couples and dorm rooms all in an inspiring post-modernist building overlooking an expressway that makes for fascinating viewing - beats a TV any day!

Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town. The staff was helpful and courteous. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The shower was great. The location made it easy to walk to city center and museums.

W mieszkaniu było bardzo czysto, w kuchni wszystko, czego potrzeba - lodówka, kuchenka, zmywarka, kuchenka mikrofalowa, czajnik, pełne wyposażenie dla chcących gotować. Dużym plusem była możliwość wcześniejszego pozostawienia bagażu. No i oczywiście Basel Card, czyli karta na bezpłatne przejazdy komunikacją miejską w granicach miasta, którą otrzymuje się przed przyjazdem, więc już z lotniska można dojechać za darmo.

Situated in the centre of Basel's Old Town, on the banks of the Rhine, Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois is one of Europe’s oldest city hotels, where such personalities as Napoleon, Elizabeth II, Pablo... We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Les Trois Rois. Our room had several windows with a beautiful view of the Rhine River, which made the experience even more special. The breakfast was excellent, the hotel is beautiful and full of history, and the changing flower arrangements at the entrance were a lovely surprise, offering a different visual experience each day. The bar was outstanding, with a live pianist and a fantastic repertoire, creating a truly elegant atmosphere. Despite being one of the oldest hotels in Europe, the comfort and technology are exceptional — heated bathroom floors, automatic curtains, and even a TV that can be controlled from the bathtub. An extremely pleasant, elegant and unforgettable stay. Highly recommended.
