The panoramic view is amazing. There is a hiking path to the lake of Murten just underneath the hotel. 20 minutes drive to Papiliorama, if you want to be there early. The best is to be at Papiliorama as soon as it opens in the morning. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Boasting garden views, Ofenhaus provides accommodation with a balcony, around 15 km from Forum Fribourg. Traveling home from Munich the Ofenhaus was a perfect location for a stop over. The location is quiet but a short walk into town. Our host was friendly and on hand when we arrived, the studio was well equipped and the bed very comfortable. Our only regret was we should of stayed another day to explore the area.

We got a room overlooking Lake Gruyere and the mountains. Wow. Absolutely stunning. I sat on that balcony for hours and didn't want to leave. The breakfast is also terrific! So many fresh local options, including fresh fruit, and local gruyere cheeses and milk, yogurts. Staff is also super friendly. Loved it!
